About the event

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Step into the gripping world where medicine meets justice into one-of-a-kind medico- legal competition designed to challenge participants in the fields of forensic observation, analytical reasoning, and courtroom advocacy. From investigating a simulated crime scene to presenting arguments in a mock courtroom, participants will experience the thrill of solving a case from evidence collection to final verdict.

Teams will examine clinical clues, interpret forensic findings, reconstruct timelines, and defend their conclusions through structured legal argument. The competition tests not only scientific knowledge and forensic aptitude, but also communication, teamwork, and the ability to think under pressure.

As the boundaries between medicine and law begin to blur, only the most observant, logical, and persuasive teams will prevail.

EVENT STRUCTURE:

Round 1: Scene of Suspicion

The event begins with a live simulated crime scene designed to test observation and investigative skills. Teams will analyze the scene, identify significant evidence, and suggest relevant forensic examinations and investigations required to reconstruct the sequence of events.

This round focuses on attention to detail, analytical thinking, and application of forensic principles in a time-sensitive setting.

Round 2: The Case Files

The investigation deepens as teams face a series of forensic challenges inspired by medico-legal cases, toxicology, injury interpretation, crime-based media, and clinical reasoning scenarios.

Designed to test observation, deduction, and quick thinking, this round pushes participants to connect clues, interpret evidence, and think critically under pressure before stepping into the courtroom.

Round 3: Trial by Evidence

The top qualifying teams will advance to the final mock court round. Teams will be provided with a medico-legal case scenario and preparation time before presenting a complete courtroom proceeding.

Each team will conduct the prosecution, defense, witness examination, interpretation of evidence, and final arguments within a simulated court setting. Teams will be judged on forensic accuracy, logical structuring of arguments, courtroom presentation, teamwork, and ability to defend their conclusions convincingly.
